Roselle Catholic H.S……The 1st annual Tip-Off Invitational sponsored by bballshootout.com had a great weekend of Basketball that was culminated in a championship by The Patrick School!

Junior Adamo Sanogo scored 14 points and Senior Noah Farrakhan(pictured) added 12 as The Patrick School held on to  defeat a game Elizabeth squad 60-59! Senior D.J. Watkins led Elizabeth with 13 points!

In a tough Semi final game The Patrick School reached the Finals outlasting Newark Eastside 66-64 in double overtime! Sanogo scored 16 and Farrakhan 14 in this contest as Pat’s had to overcome a 29 point effort from Newark Eastside Senior Gabe Olaniyi(right)!

 

                                                      

 

 

                                                   SEMI-FINALS:   ELIZABETH  56             ROSELLE CATHOLIC  49

Senior D.J. Watkins(right) scored 17 points and Sophomore Jayden Pierre added 14 points to lead Elizabeth to an exciting 56-49 win over Roselle Catholic ! Senior Cliff Omoruyi led R.C. with 15 points!

 

 

                                       

 

                                           OTHER CONTESTS: ST. JOSEPH(MONT.)  86      WATCHUNG HILLS  81

In another fast paced game, St. Joseph(Mont.) outlasted Watchung Hills 86-81! Senior Daniel Lans(right) led Joe’s with 27 points, while Senior Ansley Almonor added 15 points! They needed it all as Senior Michael Bressler(far right) led Watchung with 26 points and Senior Chad Martini chipped in 14!

Newark Eastside made it to the Semifinals by defeating St. Peters Prep 65-58! Olaniyi scored 20 points, while Monmouth commit Mikah Johnson(right) added 19 for Eastside! St. Peters was led by Sophomore Mark Armstrong(far right) with 16 points!
