2019 PLAYAZ SPRINGFLING: RIVERSIDE HAWKS, NJ PLAYAZ AND CITY ROCKS WIN MIDDLE SCHOOL “CHIPS”!

Kennedy H.S. Paterson, N.J…..The 2019 Playaz Springfling Tournament for Middle School took place this weekend and saw the Riverside Hawks 6th, New Jersey Playaz 7th and City Rocks 8th grade team come away with “Chips”!

                                                        RIVERSIDE HAWKS  40       STACKS  31  (6th Grade)

The Riverside Hawks(NY) defeated The Stacks(NJ) 40-31 in the Spring Fling 6th grade Championship! The Riverside Hawks were led by Tournament MVP Jamier Nowell! Riverside had defeated The Playaz 46-45 on a”triple” at the buzzer and the Stacks defeated Hoop Kingz 32-31 in their Semifinal game! 

 

 

                                                  N.J. PLAYAZ  49         THE RENS  45 (7th Grade)

The NJ Playaz(NJ) defeated The Rens(NY) 49-45 in the Spring Fling 7th Grade Championship as Isaiah Brown scored 16 points and Samir Thomas who was Tournament MVP added 14 in the win! The game was played at an intense level and each team fought hard in the back and forth contest!

 

 

 

                  CITY ROCKS  55     N.J. PLAYAZ  54 (8th Grade)

City Rocks(NY) defeated The N.J. Playaz 55-54 in the Spring Fling 8th Grade Championship on a freethrow with 2 seconds left in the contest! Royal Brown led City Rocks with 13 points! The Playaz  Sadir Mitchell scored 11 to lead them! City Rocks reached the “chip” by defeating the Stacks while The Playaz reached the title game by beating Hoop Kingz!
