SATURDAY FALLBALL RESULTS: UNION CATHOLIC, PASSAIC VALLEY AND NOMADS WIN!

Don Bosco Tech, Paterson, NJ…. The Saturday FallBall League sponsored by the Playaz Basketball Club and the Paterson Recreation had only three contests due to a couple of no-shows, but Union Catholic, Passaic Valley and the Nomads came away with victories!

The Nomads are a collection of Highschool players from around the area and they gave a great effort against the St. Anthony JV that has played well so far in the League! Behind the play of Sophomore Omar Mostafa(far right) of Don Bosco Prep scored 16 points and Eastside Highschool’s Sophomore Tymere McMillan added 15 points to help the Nomads beat St. Anthony’s 61-52! Sophomore Quamain Nelson led St. Anthony’s with 13 points! Senior Mike Cirrincione(right) scored 18 points, while Senior Stefan Minic scored 15 points and  Sophomore Jihad Wright added 14 as Passaic Valley defeated Paramus Catholic 58-44! Senior Kareem Coston led Paramus Catholic with 15 points! While Union Catholic put on their normal dunk fest the story was the play of Senior guard Ashton Lofton(left)! Passaic County Tech played well and was tough on the offensive end but everytime they would seem to be establishing themselves, Lofton would have an answer! Lofton scored 27 points, including 7″triples” to lead Union Catholic to a 85-74 win over Tech! Senior Devine Eke the F.D.U. commit finished with 23 points and Senior David Hawthorne chipped in 18 for Union Catholic! The trio’s play overcame the 29 point effort by Tech Senior Ernesto Regaldo! Regaldo knocked down 8 “triples”! Senior Vic Mitchell scored 16 points for Tech! Ramapo and Randolph did not play this week!
