HOOP GROUP NJ TIPOFF SHOWCASE RESULTS: NEWARK EASTSIDE, DON BOSCO PREP, PATERSON EASTSIDE AND COLUMBIA WIN!

The Hoop Group Tipoff Showcase for Saturday had four closely fought games and in the end Newark Eastside, Don Bosco Prep, Paterson Eastside and Columbia all pulled off victories!

South Alabama commit Abdul Lewis(pictured) had 14 points and Seton Hall recruit Ismael Sanogo scored 6 of his 8 points in the 4th quarter to defeat Blair Academy 46- 43! Junior Donovan Wright led Blair with 9 points and highly recruited Senior Marial Shayok added 8 points!

 

 

 

 

                                                                                DON BOSCO PREP   62     HUDSON CATHOLIC   58

George Washington commit Paul Jorgensen(pictured) scored 19 points and Junior wing Lonnie Rivera added 15, including the go ahead “triple” with 1:11 left in the game as Don Bosco Prep held on to beat Huson Catholic 62-58! senior Jack Ely added 11 points and 7 rebounds for Prep! Hudson Catholic had tied the game at 53 with 1:29 in the 4th on a steal and layup from Senior J.R. Lynch! Lynch finished with 19 points, while Junior Nassir Barrino added 16 points for the Hawks!

Junior Shakur Juiston(pictured) took control of this game by scoring 19 points and grabbing 18 rebounds as Paterson Eastside shocked St. Peters Prep 58-48! Juiston scored 17 of his 19 in the second half! Junior Asem Johnson scored 13 points and Senior Ahmad Dauda added 12 points. St. Peters Prep was led by High Point commit Austin White scored 20 points and Sophomore Najja Hunter chipped in 15 points for Prep!

   Senior David Runcie(pictured) scored 19 points and brother Mike Runcie, a Junior added 13 points as Columbia held on to pull off a 46-43 win over Seton Hall Prep! Seton Hall Prep was led by Sophomore guard Temple Gibbs with 17 points!
