Written by Cameron on . Posted in Garden State Hoops

005 Gardenstatehoops.com will have a number of players entering a Basketball Journal for the upcoming Season! Our first entry comes from Passaic Valley’s dynamite Senior Guard Jihad Wright! A 1st Team All Passaic County player last year Jihad is recognized as one of the best players in the county and as he goes will dictate how well the Hornets do this season! Jihad has College interest and he will be a great follow throughout the year! Gardenstatehoops would like to thank Jihad in advance for taking the time to do this for this site!

JIHAD WRIGHT’S JOURNAL ENTRY:

Hey what’s up world? My name is Jihad Wright and I play for Passaic Valley Highschool. I am a four year starter and with that experience my team expects a lot from me. We just scrimmaged a really good Passaic County Tech team and also had scrimmages against Westwood and Ridgewood. Throughout the scrimmages I think my team has gotten better and was able to work on a few things. Thi005s year my team doesn’t have the height that we’ve had in the past years, Despite lacking height, I still think my team has a chance of being one of the best teams in Passaic County. Our speed and defense makes up for the lack of size. Opening night is right around the corner and I’m feeling good about my team. We will improve as the year progresses. The team’s expectations are the same every year. Win our League, win Counties and win our section in States.
