EASTSIDE BEATS PASSAIC COUNTY TECH 62-53!

Wayne,N.J….. Senior Terra Gatling(pictured) scored 16 points and grabbed 16 rebounds and Junior Al-Jumu Johnson scored 17 points to lead Eastside to a 62-53 win over Passaic County Tech!

Junior Nhaz Smith played a nice floor game with 15 points, 7 assists and 5 steals to help put PCT down! Eastside took a 15-4 lead in the 1st quarter, but let Tech back in the game in the 2nd as they cut the lead to 29-25 at the half! The score stayed close in the 3rd, but Eastside’s defense early in the 4th gave them the cushion they needed! Two”triples” in the 4th by Johnson gave Eastside a 47-39 lead with 3 minutes left and Tech was never able to get back in the contest! Tech was led by Senior Eric Alford-Johnson with 18 points and 14 rebounds, Senior Yohanly Ortiz with 14 points and 4 assists and Junior Derrick Cuavers 12 points!
