ABBASSI’S “TRIPLE” LIFTS PASSAIC VALLEY TO A 69-68 WIN OVER KENNEDY!

Little Falls,N.J…… Senior Billal Abbassi’s only bucket of the game proved the most important as his “triple” at the buzzer lifted Passaic Valley to a 69-68 win over Kennedy!

Junior Joe Shoulas went one for two from the free throw line to give Kennedy a 68-66 lead with 7 seconds left! That set the stage for Abbassi’s(right) heroics! Passaic Valley was led by Senior guard Jihad Wright(bottom right) who scored 31 points, including 6 “triples”and gave Kennedy problems throughout! Senior Alphonso Gee led Kennedy with 21 points, while Shoulas finished with 11 points, 16 rebounds and 5 blocked shots! Kennedy’s downfall was their inability to hit free throws late which kept PV in the game! Junior Tito Ramirez scored 11 points and dished out 5 assists for Passaic Valley!
