GARVEY COMMITS TO HOWARD!

St. Joseph(Montvale) star Nate Garvey has found his school! The 6’3 guard has committed to play at Howard University!

Garvey who has led his team to the Bergen County Jamboree Finals is a tremendous student-athlete and it’s his ability to get it done, both on the court and in the classroom that has allowed him to make this move! With Trinity College and Carnegie Mellon as two of the schools wanting him, Garvey is a player that has the ability to play at a higher level! So Nate committed to Howard on an Academic Scholarship for the first year and an Athletic one after the first year! Garvey has had a strong Season in leading St. Joe’s this year and has emerged as a candidate for area Player of the Year and surpassed the 1,000 point mark Tuesday against Indian Hills! Garvey has been a friend to this site and has taken the time to do a basketball diary for this site! Gardenstatehoops would especially like to congratulate Nate, his mother Jhanice, father Alan, brother Tuere and sister Dara on his accomplishment of reaching the 1,000 point mark and his College commitment!
