NORTH JERSEY NON-PUBLIC B STATES: DWIGHT-ENGLEWOOD DEFEATS IMMACULATE CONCEPTION 58-53!

Englewood Cliffs, N.J…. Freshman Tyson Etienne(right) scored 16 points and Freshman Jordan McKoy(mid right) added 11 points, 10 rebounds(8 offensive) and 5 assists to lead Dwight-Englewood to a 58-53 win over Immaculate Conception in the Semi-Finals of the North Non-Public B contest!

D-E led most of the contest with IC tying it at the half at 25 and once again at 42 in the 3rd quarter! The game was tight throughout, but Dwight-Englewood always did enough to maintain a lead! Immaculate’s downfall was their 21 turnovers! Etienne had a big 3rd quarter with 10 points in the stanza when Immaaculate made a strong run tying the game on a thunderous dunk off a steal by Sophomore Jalen Carey, who during the game scored his 1,000th career point! Despite the tremendous play of Carey, D-E maintained their poise as Sophomore Xavier Wilson made a jumper to get the lead back, Etienne and Senior Seon Layne each scored on layups to up the lead to 48-42! Wilson finished with 13 points and Layne added 10! Carey(bottom right) led Immaculate with 24 points, 5 assists and 3 steals! Dwight-Englewood now goes to Rutgers to face St. Anthony in the Non-Public B North Final!
