NORTH SEC 1 GROUP 2 STATE SECTIONAL: RAMSEY BLOWS OUT MANCHESTER 75-38!R

Ramsey,N.J…. Senior Jack Gaffney (right)made 9″triples” and scored 32 points and Senior Joey Carroll(bottom right) added 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocked shots to lea Ramsey to a convincing 75-38 win over Manchester and the Group 2 Sectional title!

The first since 1950 for the School! Leading 16-9 going into the 2nd quarter, Ramsey outscored Manchester 24-8 and took a commanding 40-17 lead at the half! The game was decided right there and all was left was how many “triples” Gaffney would finish with! Ramsey will play Westside in the Group 2 North final! Senior Terrell Griffin led Manchester with 15 points!

 

 

 

 

FAREWELL NOTES: Gardenstatehoops would like to acknowledge the Manchester Seniors Griffin, Akiel Murray, Jamil Crawford, Keshon Pearson and Alex Morales! Griffin(far right) short stint with Manchester turned out to be very productive for him as he became a major scoring threat! Murray had a solid career as he was a ferocious rebounder and finisher for the Falcons over the last few years! Crawford became a very good playmaker and an excellent on the ball defender, Pearson was a solid playmaker who could also defend any guard! Morales(near right) is a Division 1 type player who’s Season did not end on a positive note, but you can’t deny that he was one of the All-time great Manchester Highschool players! Gardenstatehoops would like to congratulate these players and their families on their Highschool careers and wish for nothing but the best in the future!
