JINGLE BELLS JUBILEE: TEANECK, GILL ST.BERNARD, IMMACULATE CONCEPTION AND ST.PETERS PREP WIN!

img_2072Don Bosco Tech Academy, Paterson,N.J…… The Playaz sponsored Jingle Bells Jubilee took place tonight with four games played to move to Semi-finals and saw Teaneck, Gill St.Bernard, Immaculate Conception and St.Peters Prep advance!

 

                                                                                       TEANECK  75      QUEEN OF PEACE  55

Junior Ja’Quaye James(top right) scored 22 points and dished out 14 assists and Senior Center Pierre Sow(near right) scored 18 points, pulled down 10 rebounds and blocked 8 shots as Teaneck took a 51-16 halftime lead and coasted to a 75-55 win over Queen Of Peace! Junior Jayden Dawson(far right) scored 13 electrifying points on dunks and putbacks and Junior Corey Gordon grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked 3 shots for the Highwaymen! Senior Justin Thompson was the lone bright spot as he led Queen Of Peace with 20 points and 14 rebounds! Freshman star Cliff Omoruyi had to leave the game due to an injury to his leg and may miss extended time!

Sophomore sensation Paul Mulcahy(right) scored 16 points,pulled down 11 rebounds,dished out 5 dimes and had 3 steals to lead Gill St.Bernard to a 76-43 rout of Hackensack! Leading 38-21 at the half Gill outscored Hackensack 18-7 in the 3rd to take total control taking a 56-28 lead to end the stanza! Senior Mike Morreale added 10 points and Junior Alex Schacne and Senior Evan Storch scored 9 points apiece for Gill St.Bernard! Senior Mykel Swanston led Hackensack with 12 points!

The best game of the night featured Immaculate Conception and Union Catholic as the game was close for much of the contest with I.C. pulling away late! Junior Justin Winston(far right) scored 22 points and pulled down 10 rebounds and Junior D.J.Mitchell(right) made 5″triples” and scored 16 points to lead I.C.! Immaculate led 30-28 at the half and pulled out to a 51-44 lead at the end of the 3rd as Mitchell hit a couple huge trifectas in the process! Sophomore Dejourn Cook scored 11 points and pulled down 7 boards, Junior Jalen Carey added 10 points and Sophomore Justin Galea chipped in 9 points as I.C. had a balanced attack! Senior Brandon Hampton scored 14 points as did Junior Kyle Lofton for Union Catholic! Sophomore Jaheim Tanksley added 13 for U.C.!

Senior Shayne Simon(right) scored 12 points and grabbed 8 rebounds and Senior Luke Buckoweic also added 12 points as St.Peters Prep defeated Paterson Kennedy 55-38! Sophomore Will White added 10 points for Prep! Kennedy made some runs, but couldn’t get the game to under 10 most of the contest! Senior Tamir Williams led the Knights with 9 points!
