PATERSON EASTSIDE HOLDS OFF PASSAIC TECH 77-69!

Wayne,N.J….. Senior Felix Ramos(right) scored 18 points, including 5 “triples” to lead a balanced Eastside squad to a 77-69 win over Passaic County Tech!

Eastside showed an unselfish game as eight players scored for them in the 1st quarter alone and nine for the game! Senior Al-Jumu Johnson and Sophomore Matthew Lee each scored 11points and Junior Ta’wan Grier added 10 points for the Ghosts! They led the entire contest, but it was not easy as Tech fought hard throughout and cut the lead to 67-65 as Senior D.J. Cuavers (9pts) hit a “triple” and Senior Justin Wells converted his steal into a layup! Johnson made a layup to give Eastside a 69-65 lead, but Wells got a layup to cut it to 69-67 with 1:38 left in the game! Ramos free throw and Junior Yoheily Ortiz two free throws gave Eastside a cushion to finish the contest! Senior Julian Briggs led Tech with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Senior Christian Przybyla added 12 points for Tech
