PUBLIC VS PRIVATE : LAST SECOND BUCKET LIFTS KENNEDY OVER DWIGHT-ENGLEWOOD 64-62!

Englewood,N.J……Gardenstatehoops caught one game of the Public Vs Private matchups at Englewood H.S.!

Kennedy caused a turnover and Junior Jaylen Colon found Freshman Deishon Harrison(right) for a layup with 2 seconds left to lift the Knight’s to a 64-62 comeback victory over Dwight-Englewood! The Knight’s were down the entire contest until with 6:08 left in 4th Sophomore Gemir Robinson’s layup put Kennedy ahead 49-48! Dwight-Englewood went back up on a bucket by Sophomore Jordan McKoy who had a monster game with 31 points! Freshman Jahmali Carnegie’s jumper with 1:13 left in the game tied the score at 62 and set the stage for Colon and Harrison’s combined heroics! Colon finished with 19 points and 5 assists to lead Kennedy! Senior Tamir Williams added 12 points and 10 rebounds, Harrison chipped in 9 points and Freshman Jalen Hargrove had 8 points and 7 rebounds for Kennedy! Dwight-Englewood’s Sophomore Tyson Etienne scored 12 points, but was in foul trouble throughout and fouled out early in the 4th quarter which hurt D-E! Colon and McKoy(pictured together) were voted Players Of The Game!
