004Last Friday Junior Marc Dadika and his St. Mary’s squad faced River Dell with Dadika needing 27 points to reach the 1,000 point plateau!

He reached it by scoring 41 points in a 66-64 double overtime win and in the process became the 7th Dadika family member to reach that goal!  His father Scott started the process in 1984 at Elmwood Park finishing with 1,126! He was followed by brother Rick Dadika at Elmwood Park in 1985 with 1,967 points! Younger brother Craig Dadika followed them up in 2001 with 1,107 points! The next generation began their assault on 1,000 as Scott’s son Kyle scored 1,070 at St. Mary’s in 2011! Rick’s son Jake scored 1,653 points in 2014 for Spotswood H.S. and his other son Eric finished with 1,191 in 2016 for Spotswood! Marc, who is Scott’s son completes the 1,000 club with 1,022 points after scoring 9 against Midland Park tonight! That’s 9,136 points from the Dadika clan! A tremendous amount of New Jersey points and a tremendous accomplishment for this family! Gardenstatehoops would like to congratulate the entire family and especially Marc as the Junior will continue his quest for reaching more Highschool Basketball goals!( Pictured: Marc with his parents Dina and Scott)
