NORTH JERSEY SEC 1 GROUP 4 FINAL: BLOOMFIELD HOLDS ON IN 39-34 WIN OVER RIDGEWOOD!

Bloomfield, N.J…. The game was not the prettiest,or the most fluid, but it was a hard fought Sectional Final that Bloomfield manage to pull out a 39-34 win over Ridgewood!

With the score tied at 30, Junior Mayowa Akindebe’s layup plus the foul gave Bloomfield a 33-30 lead and they would never relinguish it! Free throws by Junior Kyle Barrow, Senior Myles Toppin and Junior Jamir Ramos helped ice the contest! Bloomfield led 24-12 at the half as Ridgewood only managed 3 points in the 2nd quarter! Ridgewood made a comeback in the second half and finally tied the score at 30 on a short jumper from Junior Gabe Millstein! That set the stage for Edindebe’s(pictured) heroics! Senior Myles Toppin led Bloomfield with 8 points as no player had double figures, but 7 players scored! Ridgewood was led by Junior Michael Schretter with 12 points and 8 rebounds and Junior Caesar Silvetro with 7 points! Bloomfield will meet Linden in the North Group 4 Final!
