GROUP 2 STATE FINALS: WEST SIDE GOES BACK TO BACK SQUEAKING BY CAMDEN 51-49!
Rutgers University, N.J……In a game that went to it’s last shot, West Side defeated Camden for the second year in a row 51-49 and won the Group 2 State Championship!
Senior Quayon Williams-King scored 13 points and dished out 9 assists! Senior Yasim Hooker also scored 13 points and 9 rebounds and senior Quaion Taylor added 12 points, 8 rebounds and 3 blocks! Freshman Kirk Parsons hit a big “triple” late in the contest and his free throws proved to be the winning points! Sophomore Ethan Tarte led Camden, who have now lost 5 straight State Finals with 16 points and Junior Myles Thompson scored 15 points and grabbed an impressive 16 rebounds! Camden had one last chance to tie but their layup rolled off the rim and West Side was again Champs!
