GROUP 3 STATE FINALS: TEANECK COMES BACK TO DEFEAT EWING 74-68!

Rutgers University, N.J…. The dynamic guard duo of Senior Leondre Washington and Junior Ja’Quaye James proved in the end to be too much for a tough Ewing squad as Teaneck won it’s second straight Group 3 state title with a 74-68 come from behind win!

James scored 25 points and Washington added 24 points with 6 rebounds and 3 steals! Teaneck was behind most of the contest and got their first second half lead on a James layup! Senior Adrian Baucom added 12 points and 5 rebounds and Junior Corey Gordon chipped in 9 points and 12 rebounds! Teaneck also got strong efforts from Senior Korey Pettie and Junior Jayden Dawson on the defensive end! Senior Jon Azorah led Ewing with 18 points and 8 rebounds, 15 points from Senior Edamiyon Doggett and 15 points from Senior Lawrence Joseph!
