PUBLIC VS PRIVATE SHOWCASE: DWIGHT MORROW, HACKENSACK, DEPAUL, PASCACK VALLEY AND UNIVERSITY WIN!

Bergen Community College Paramus, N.J……The Public vs Private Showcase event had five games on it’s second day and had a little of everything as Dwight Morrow, Hackensack, DePaul, Pascack Valley and University all came away winners!

The last game of the night proved to be the most exciting as Dwight Morrow defeated Our Savior Lutheran of New York 64-63! Senior George Garrison’s three point play with 6 seconds left gave Dwight Morrow the exciting win! Trailing 63-61, Garrison took a feed and drove down the lane and converted on a basket plus the foul! Junior Owen Roberts led Dwight Morrow with 26 points and Senior Martini Martin added 13 points to lead the Maroon Raiders! Our Savior Lutheran was led by Senior Ransford N’Tow with 14 points and Freshman Jaden Dejesus with 12 points! Roberts(left) and N’Tow(right) were chosen Players Of The Game!

Youngstown commit Atiba Taylor scored 20 points and Senior B.J. Saliba added 17 points to lead Hackensack to a 70-55 win over St. Joseph! The game was close in the 1st half as Hackensack only held a 31-25 lead, but took control in the 3rd quarter taking a 48-35 lead! Senior Razeyah Surrell scored 9 points and Senior Toren Portee chipped in 8 points and dished out 6 assists for the Comets! Sophomore Nazir Williams led Joe’s with 12 points and Junior Smith Vilbert scored 110 points and pulled down 10 rebounds! Taylor(right) and Vilbert (left) were chosen Player Of The Game!

Senior Alex Lin scored 16 points, including a big “triple” to put Pascack Valley up for good in their 56-51 win over St. Mary’s! Senior Justin Schaumberger went 9 for 11 from the floor and finished with 11 points and Senior Matt Harris added 10 points for PV! Pascack Valley had to withstand a 25 point, 19 rebound performance from FDU commit Marc Dadika! Lin(right) and Dadika(left) were chosen Players of the Game!

Junior Bryan Henderson scored 25 points, pulled down 7 rebounds, dished out 6 assists and had 2 steals to lead DePaul to a convincing 79-61 win over West Milford! DePaul had four players in double figures as Sophomore John O’Reilly and Senior Liam Barrett each scored 11 points and Senior Jason Galdo added 10 points and 8 rebounds! Senior Andrew Finke led West Milford with 18 points and Junior Josiah Basket scored 17 points! Senior Brandon Licursi chipped in 12 points for West Milford! Henderson(left) and Finke(right) were chosen Players Of The Game!

Alquan Dwight scored 21 points and Junior Taylor Hall added 15 points to lead University to a 71-64 win over Paramus Catholic! Paramus Catholic made comebacks but kept shooting themselves in the foot with turnovers! Junior Cameron Burns led Paramus Catholic with 17 points and Junior Jordan Dufont added 13 points! Dwight(right) and Burns(left) were chosen Players of the Game!
