PATERSON CHARTER TOPS POMPTON LAKES 77-41!

Paterson,N.J….Paterson Charter took a 35-17 halftime lead and never looked back as they easily defeated Pompton Lakes 77-41 in the First round of the North 1 Group 1 State game!

Junior Bashir Byrd(picture) led Charter with 23 points as they had five players score in double figures! Paterson Charter’s guards had a big day as Sophomore’s Marquis Harris and Sadiki Miller each scored 11 points and Junior Rajah Cameron and Freshman Jahar Pierce had 10 points apiece as their pressure was too much for Pompton Lakes to handle! Led by Harris 4 steals, Paterson Charter had 17 steals in the contest! Paterson Charter, the fifth seed team will face fourth seed Wallkill in the next round Wednesday February 28th!
