With .8 seconds left in the contest Syracuse commit Jalen Carey (pic)drove hard to the basket, got fouled and knocked down two free throws and gave Immaculate Conception a 65-63 win over the TOC defending champs The Patrick School in a Non-Public North B State game!Immaculate(#5) was the higher seed, but going into the game against The Patrick School(#12) the reality is they were not the favorite! They came focused and led in the close contest the majority of the game! IC led at the half 34-30, but Pat’s started the 2nd half finally getting the lead on a “triple” by Senior Marquis Nowell 35-34! IC took the lead at the end of the 3rd!The game turned again when a technical foul and three point play gave The Patrick School a chance to tie the contest again at 58 all! Senior Justin Winston led IC with 23 points, while Carey added 17 points! Senior Valdir Manuel had a great game as he led The Patrick School with 27 points and Nowell finished with 19 points! Immaculate will now face #2 Seeded Hudson Catholic Thursday in Jersey City!
