ROSELLE CATHOLIC DEFEATS GILL ST.BERNARD 57-40: NON-PUBLIC NORTH B CHAMPS!

New Brunswick, N.J… Roselle Catholic outscored Gill St,Bernard 34-18 in the 2nd half to open up a close game and win going away 57-40 and capture the Non-Public B North Championship!

Junior Khalil Whitney scored 19 points to lead RC! Senior Ithiel Horton added 15 points and Senior Alonzo Frink chipped in 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Roselle Catholic as back to back to back dunks as it took a 46-38 lead and opened it up to 50-38 with 2:50 left in the contest! Gill St Bernard, who rely on the three ball for a lot of their offense only shot 4-18 from that distance and got outrebounded 33-21! GSB was led by Junior Paul Mulcahy with 15 points and 7 rebounds! Roselle Catholic will now meet the Ranney School at Toms River Saturday March 10th!

 

FAREWELL: Gardenstatehoops would like to acknowledge the Highschool careers of Gill St.Bernard Seniors! Will Yarbrough, T.J. Chaney, Brad Bunschuhm Daniel Wang, John Yoss and Alex Schachne(pictured) have had a special time at the school ! This class has been  one of the winningest classes that Gill St. Bernard has ever had as they have been around so long they were such a fixture of the program! Gardenstatehoops will miss this crew of players as this site had developed a nice relationship with these players who were not only very good basketball players, but good character kids too! Gardenstatehoops would like to congratulate and hopr gor nothing but the best in the future for these young men!
