CLIFTON DEFEATS BLOOMFIELD 51-49 IN O.T.

Clifton,N.J….. Clifton came back from a 3rd quarter deficit and survived a last second “triple” and hold on to a 51-49 overtime win over Bloomfield and move to 4-0 for the season!

Senior Armani Brinson(far right) led Clifton with 14 points and 6 rebounds and Senior Wendell Abellard(right) added 12 points as the mustangs trailed most of the game and took their first lead on a steal and layup by  Junior Ian Felix with 2:54 left in the game! Brinson’s “triple” with 43.9 left in the game tied the score at 44, which ended up being the score going into overtime! Felix scored the first bucket of the extra session to give Clifton, but Senior Will Robinson’s”triple” gave Bloomfield the lead at 47-46! Brinson’s layup and a free throw by him and Abellard proved to be the game winning buckets! Bloomfield had a chance to tie or win it ,but their shot was partially blocked! Robison led Bloomfield with 16 points, while Senior Vinny Torrisi and Sophomore Vernon Lee each scored 11 points!
