Don Bosco Academy Paterson, N.J…. The Second session of the Tim Thomas New Year’s Jump-off had a good one with Bergen Catholic pulling off a huge win, as well as wins from The Patrick School and Payne Tech!
Bergen Catholic 49 Gill St. Bernard 48
Bergen Catholic held on to pull off a hard fought win over Gill St. Bernard 49-48! Xavier commit Zach Freemantle scored 11 points with 13 rebounds, Junior Matt Zona added 12 points and 8 rebounds and Junior Raejon Figures scored 11 points! Bergen Catholic took a 40-39 lead into the 4th quarter and after a back and forth quarter a gill shot at the buzzer didn’t fall! Rutgers commit Paul Mulcahy led Gill with 11 points, 6 assists and 7 rebounds! ( Zach Freemantle with coordinator Keila Brevard)
Patrick School 72 Westside 59
Clemson commit Al-Amir Dawes scored 19 points with 5 rebounds and 3 assists and Senior Alejandro Vasquez added 18 points and 7 rebounds to lead The Patrick School to a 72-59 win over Westside! Bucknell commit Alexander Rice added 11 points for the Patrick School! Senior Dashawn Latham led Westside with 20 points and Senior James Bell added 14 points and 6 rebounds!(Dawes and Latham)
Payne Tech 52 Kennedy 49
Senior Kiyon Chapman scored 19 points and grabbed 17 rebounds to lead Payne Tech to a 52-49 win over Kennedy! Senior Jaden Lampley added 15 points and Senior Dashaun Galloway added 1
3 points for Payne! Kennedy was led by Senior Avante’ Gilbert with 23 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocked shots!(Chapman and Gilbert pictured)
