MIDWEEK BOOM: BERGEN CATHOLIC AND TEANECK WIN!

Teaneck, N.J….. The Playaz sponsored Midweek Boom had two games tonight and saw Bergen Catholic and Teaneck get victories!

                                                                   Bergen Catholic  75     Montclair Immaculate  67

Xavier commit Zach Freemantle scored 27 points and pulled down 10 rebounds and St. Peters University commit Doug Edert finished with 24 points and 6 assists to lead Bergen Catholic to a 75-67 win over Montclair Immaculate! Bergen led at the half 30-27 and extended the lead to 52-41 to end the 3rd! They kept Immaculate at bay the rest of the way! Immaculate was led by Junior Elijah Everett with 16 points and 11 rebounds and Sophomore Jayden Brown who chipped in 15 points! Freemantle and Brown were players of the game for their respective squads!

 

 

                                                                          Teaneck  73        Dwight-Morrow  70

Teaneck took a big lead early and held on to defeat Dwight-Morrow 73-70! Freshman Dasean Lecque scored 28 points to lead Teaneck! Senior Nadame Tucker added 12 points and grabbed 8 rebounds, Senior Vernon Johnson and Sophomore D.J. Simpson chipped in 10 points apiece! Teaneck led 40-20 at the half and by 16 entering the 4th! That’s when Senior Owen Roberts and Dwight-Englewood caught fire at one point and went on a 24-9 run to cut the lead to 66-65, but Lecque made a bucket and Tucker followed with a put back with 33 seconds left to give Teaneck a 72-67 lead and ice the contest! Roberts led Dwight-Morrow with 31 points! Lecque and Roberts were chosen players of the game for their respective teams!
