HASBROUCK HEIGHTS DEFEATS WOOD-RIDGE 64-58!

Wood Ridge, N.J….. Hasbrouck Heights held on to defeat Wood-Ridge 64-58!

Senior Anthony Palmer(far right) scored 20 points and grabbed 7 rebounds, Sophomore Kunga Tsering(right)  added 18 points and pulled down 10 rebounds and Senior Jared Beerman chipped in 14 points, including 4″triples” to lead Hasbrouck Heights! Wood-Ridge fell behind to start the game as Heights started the game on a 8-0 run to and led 34-26 at the half! Wood-Ridge fought back in the 2nd half behind the play of Senior Ryan Connelly and Sophomore Moshe Wilson! Two straight buckets at the end of the 3rd by Moshe gave Wood-Ridge it’s only lead of the game 45-44! Beerman started the 4th with 5 straight points to give Heights back the lead 49-45 and after a Wilson layup, Palmer hit a “triple” to give Height’s a 52-47 lead that they never relinquished! Connelly finished with 17 points and Wilson added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists!

NOTE: Last week Hasbrouck Heights defeated Lodi 53-44 and in the process Anthony Palmer reached the 1,000 point plateau! He scored 23 in the contest and finished the game with 1,009 points! Gardenstatehoops would like to congratulate Palmer and his family on his tremendous accomplishment!
