NORTH 1 GROUP 3 RESULT:(#4) TEANECK DEFEATS (#5) WAYNE VALLEY 58-46!

Teaneck, N.J…. Teaneck went on a 13-1 run to start the 3rd quarter and went on to defeat Wayne Valley 58-46!

Senior Nadame Tucker(top right) led the way with 20 points and 11 rebounds, Freshman Dasean Lecque added 16 and Junior Elian Garcia(right) scored 12 points with 7 rebounds for Teaneck! Garcia’s “triple” with 4:12 left in the 3rd gave Teaneck a 31-28 lead that they would not relinguish! Senior VJ Johnson added 7 assists and 3 steals as his defensive intensity was key to the Highwaymen’s success! Mark Howell led Wayne Valley with 22 points!

 

Note: Gardenstatehoops would like to acknowledge the Highschool career of Wayne Valley’s Senior class! Mark Howell, Anthony D’Arienzo, Patrick Cronin, Taylor Jackson and John Pettorini, Evan Bitterman, Alp Ulker and Matt DeCarlo have been big parts of the Wayne Valley program! The big three of Howell(far right), D’Arienzo(right) and Cronin have had huge careers for Valley and they have carved their own legacy and have etched their names in the Wayne Valley story!
