NON PUBLIC A NORTH SEMIFINAL: BERGEN CATHOLIC DEFEATS DON BOSCO PREP 69-52!

Oradell, N.J….Senior Jayson Earle and Junior Raejon Figures led the Bergen Catholic attack as they defeated Don Bosco Prep 69-52  to move into the Non Public A North final against St. Joseph Regional!

Earle(far right) had 15 points and 9 rebounds while Figures(right) added 16 points and 5 assists! Senior Doug Edert added 13 points and Senior Zach Freemantle chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds as Don Bosco Prep played short handed as Army commit Victor Konopka could not play due to a concussion! Prep was still game and battled throughout behind Senior Owen McGlashan and Junior Myles Ruth! Bergen took a double figure lead late in the 3rd quarter and maintained it, despite spurts by Prep!  Ruth led Prep with 14 points and McGlashan finished with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals!

 

 

 

NOTES: Gardenstatehoops would like to acknowledge the Highschool Career of Don Bosco Prep Seniors! Devan Sharma, Connor Mathis, Patrick O’Gorman, Liam Miller, Wilton Sylvester, John Sprofera, Andrew Smith, Kyle Maurer(right), Owen McGlashan and Victor Konopka had to carry the mantle of back to back Non Public A Champs and fought gallantly throughout to defend their title! Konopka(middle) and McGlashan(far right) particularly had strong years as each will be playing D1 Basketball next year! Konopka to West Point and McGlashan to Denver!
