NORTH 1 GROUP 1 FINALS: WOOD-RIDGE BEATS PATERSON CHARTER 52-47!

Paterson, N.J…. Wood-Ridge came back from a 7 point deficit late in the 4th quarter and went on to defeat Paterson Charter 52-47 and win the North 1 Group 1 Sectional title!

Sophomore guard Moshe Wilson(pictured) led WoodRidge on a late run and his three point play late gave Wood-Ridge the lead for good 48-47! Wilson led the way with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists, while Junior Ryan Sarver finished with 11 points and Senior Ryan Connelly chipped in 9 points! Paterson Charter seemed to have taken control as Senior Bashir Byrd scored 10 points in the 2nd half to help Charter get the 7 point lead! Byrd finished with 16 points the contest, Junior Caleb Ruffin had 8 and Sidiki Miller and Rajah Cameron chipped in 7 points apiece although Charter lost Cameron late in the game to an injury! Wood-Ridge will now face New Providence Thursday at East Orange!

The trio have done a great job establishing Charter as one of the top Group 1 squads in the State and has helped build a Charter legacy that is strong and should carry on!
