KENNEDY SUMMER LEAGUE! HACKENSACK DEFEATS KENNEDY 64-61 FOR “CHIP”!

Kennedy H.S. Paterson, N.J…. The Kennedy Summer League came to it’s conclusion as Hackensack defeated Kennedy to win the Summer League Championship!

Rising Sophomore Shawn Reckley hit 6 “triples” and scored 18 points, Rising Senior Kevin Mateo(far right) finished with 17 points, Rising Senior Christian Ray scored 12 points and Rising Senior Amire Walker(near right) added 10 points to lead Hackensack to a 64-61 win over Kennedy! The Comets held on at the end, overcoming the play of Kennedy’s Rising Senior Jalen Hargrove who scored 15 points and Rising Senior Deishon Harrison who finished with 12 points! Hackensack reached the Finals by defeating North Bergen in overtime 68-64 as Mateo scored 23 points! Rising Junior Esteban Dotel Jr. led North Bergen with 21 points and Rising Junior D’Avian Ellis added 16! Kennedy reached the finals by defeating DePaul 66-35 as Rising Senior Mark Heber scored 12 points!
