Hawthorne, N.J…… Senior Gio Morel scored Hawthorne’s first 8 points on his way to a big game as Hawthorne defeated Passaic Valley 63-48!

Morel finished the contest with 30 points, 10 assists and 7 steals as his 8 points to start the game gave Hawthorne a 8-0 lead that they would never relinguish! Senior Shane Rooney added 10 points and 8 rebounds and Junior Miguel Melendez finished with 11 points and 9 rebounds for Hawthorne! Passaic Valley stayed close but could never get over the hump! Senior Justin Pagarigon led PV with 15 points and 9 rebounds!
