Paterson Catholic’s comeback attempt fell short in their 67-63 loss to Rice Highschool in the Super Six showdown at Fordham University. Trailing by as much as 11 points in the 4th, P.C. made their run late on a three by Myles Mack and a steal by Jayon James which resulted in a Fuquan Edwin follow to tie the game at 63. Rice late basket and a turnover by P.C. ended the game. Rice super senior Durand Scott led Rice with 19 points, including knocking down free throws late. He was named M.V.P. Edwin led P.C. with 23 points while Mack added 13. P. C. has to shake it off and get back on the grind as they have a Passaic County game to get ready for. They get it on against Wayne Valley H.S. saturday.
