BERGEN COUNTY JAMBOREE FINAL PREVIEW: #1 TEANECK VS. #2 HACKENSACK!

Written by Cameron on . Posted in Garden State Hoops

Just as it should be! Teaneck and Hackensack have been two of the best teams in the area all year so it’s only fitting that they will be on the court at Ramapo College in Mahwah, N.J Thursday to decide the Bergen County Jamboree Champion! Teaneck is trying to Three-Peat as they have won it the last two years! Hackensack is trying to get one for a group that has been together the last three years and are a special group but needs this to justify their status! This is their last opportunity!

THE MATCHUP:

019

#1 SEED  TEANECK—– The Highwaymen will go as far as Senior Joel Hernandez(right) and Senior Shakir Lindsey(left) will take them! Teaneck’s role players have gotten better and better throughout the season, particularly Senior Marcus Fulmore, Junior Lavrone Green-Reels, Junior Myles McLeod and Sophomore Ceasar DeJesus but Jerome Smart is a Coach who knows how to utilize his studs so expect clear outs and some isolations for Hernandez and Lindsey to get creative on the floor!

#2 SEED  HACKENSACK—– Hackensack does it just a little bit different than Teaneck in that they think they have more guys that can be the go to guy in certain situations because they are all experienced players! But the reality is the ball needs to be in the hands of either Senior Chris Myers(left) or Junior Rashard Figures(right) in order for the Comets to pull off the win! That’s not to say Senior’s Jaimik Moore, Eugene Marshall and Keon Lewis are not capable but as Hernandez and Lindsey are Teanecks Dudes, Figures and Myers are the Comets Dudes! Coach Aaron Taylor has put his team in a great position to get it done for Hackensack!

Written by Cameron on . Posted in Garden State Hoops

005 Hudson Catholic 6’1 Swingman  Kyle McLeggan has decided to play his Collegiate basketball at Division 2 powerhouse Adelphi University! McLeggan had a few offers but liked Adelphi the best particularly the fact that his family can still see him play with it’s close proximity! McLeggan is a superior athlete who has a strong body and can also shoot the rock! Hoop Journal would like to congratulate Kyle, his father Michael McLeggan, mother Teresa Taylor and sisters Jordan McLeggan, Taykor Hart and Yasmine Taylor Hart on his choice and hope for nothing but the best in the future!!
