Kean University, Union, N.J…… In the Scholarship Fund For Inner-City Children Basketball Festival Roselle Catholic and St. Anthony walked away big winners!

Roselle Catholic trailed 28-27 at the half, but shot 69% from the floor in the second half to pull away008 from Seton Hall Prep 80-61! Syracuse commit Senior Tyler Roberson(right) finished with 16 points,8 rebounds and 3 blocked shots! Senior Hakim Santil scored 12 points as did Sophomore Stud Malachi Richardson(left) to go along with his 5 dimes! Roselle Catholic outscored Seton Hall Prep 27 -10 in the 3rd quarter to pull away! Seton Hall Prep got 19 points from Princeton commit Spencer Weisz, 13 points and 8 rebounds fromSophomore Kelly Hogan and 12 points from Freshman T.J. Gibbs!

Temple commit Josh Brown(right) scored 19 points on 8 for 11 from the floor and Oregon St. commit 011Hallice Cooke(left) went 6 for 7 from the floor in scoring 15 points as St. Anthony dominated Curtis HS of New York! the Friars defense caused Curtis much trouble as they were unable to run their offense which kept their Rhode Island commit Hassan Martin from getting the ball! he finished with 3 points! St. Anthony outscored Curtis 17-4 in the 2nd quarter and took a 30-12 halftime lead! Senior Jermaine Anthony-Huff led Curtis with 15 points!!! St. Anthony will play Newark Eastside in the New Years Jumpoff next January 6th!!

ST. BENEDICTS AND HUDSON CATHOLIC WIN SFIC GAMES!!

Kean University, Union , N.J……. In the Scholarship Fund For Inner-City Children Basketball Festival, St. Benedicts and Hudson Catholic came away big winners in their games Friday night!!

Pittsburgh commit Mike Young(right)scored 25 points and grabbed 6 rebounds, Sophomore sensation Isaiah Briscoe(left) had 20 points and 6 dimes and Syracuse commit Tyler Enn001is scored 17 points with 7 dimes as Benedicts manhandled Life Center 104-49! Senior Johnathan Williams added 13 points, including a rim shaking two hand dunk, Junior Tyrell Green added 11 points and Senior Denzel Taylor chipped in 10 points with 8 rebounds as Benedicts had 6 players in double figures! After leading big in the 1st half, St. Benedicts exploded for 31 3rd quarter points to put the game well out of reach! Senior Lincoln Samuels scored 18 points for Life Center and Senior Felipe Rocha added 10!

      Georgetown commit Reggie Cameron(right)scored 29 points and grabbed 8 rebounds 003to lead Hudson Catholic to a 82-49 win over Cardinal McCarrick!  Robert Morris commit Kavon Stewart(left) added 10 points and 8 dimes, Senior Kyle McLeggan scored 15 points with 7 rebounds and Sophomore Sammy Friday had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds! Hudson Catholic trailed at the end of the 1st quarter 16-12, but outscored McCarrick 28-5 in the 2nd quarter and never looked back! Cardinal McCarrick got all their points from three players led by Senior Jaquantee Madden with 24 points and 7 rebounds! Junior Sky Harris scored 14 points and Junior Aaron Lewis finished the scoring with 11 points with 7 dimes!

KENNEDY TAKES WIN FROM PASSAIC COUNTY TECH 69-61!!

001Passaic County Tech, Wayne,N.J…. It has been established that Kennedy has two go to guys! Senior Hassan Townes and Freshman Alphonso Gee have established themselves early in the year as the players that the Knights rely on the most! But in order to be a team that competes at the end of the season your role players have to give major contributions! Kennedy beat Passaic County Tech behind the play of their role players! The play of Senior Justin Kinchen, Sophomore Jaloni Morris and Senior Jamire Grant proved to be the difference for Kennedy as Kinchen(right) changed the game in the 3rd quarter on both ends of the floor, Morris(center) made key plays throughout and made up for the loss of Gee(fouled out) in the middle of the 4th and Grant(left) scored all of his points in a minute and a half  spurt late in the game to give Kennedy the lead for good! Kinchen scored 11 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and made a huge block late to help secure the win! Morris acored 13 points and Grant’s 7 points were the most important as his “triple” gave Kennedy a 61-56 lead with 2:06 left and his two free throws iced it! Gee led Kennedy with 16 points and Townes finished with 13 points, 7 rebounds, 4assists and 5 steals! Kennedy had to overcome  P.C.T.Senior Isaac Williams 25 points and 4 steals, Junior Zaheem Beal’s 10 and Senior Kori Haggie who was tough on the boards finishing with 13!
