Reggie Cameron Reaches 1,000 Points In A Hudson Catholic 100-58 Rout!

Jersey City, N.J…….. Junior Reggie Cameron scored 17 points, including his 1,000th career point in leading Hudson Catholic to a 100-58 blow out over University Charter Academy! Cameron got his 1,000th point early in the 2nd quarter on two free throws and finished the game with 1,009 career points as he and the starters sat most of the 2nd half! Hudson Catholic had 5 players reach double figures led by Cameron(right) who also grabbed 10 boards! Junior Mike Young added 16 points and 11 rebounds, Senior Marc Wilson scored 14 points, Junior Rakwon Kelly had 13 points and 9 rebounds and Junior Kyle McLeggan scored 12 points and 6 rebounds! With all the scoring, someone had to give it to them and Junior Kavon Stewart did just that as he accounted for 20 assists to go with 9 steals! Stewart(left) played a superior floor game and kept everyone involved! It was a team win, but tonight belonged to Cameron as he became the 10th Hudson Catholic player to reach the 1,000 point mark!

 

NOTE:  Due to all the years and time that Cameron and Stewart have been together, Reggie requested his picture be taken with Kavon! 135 of Cameron’s points came as a freshman for Paterson Catholic! Hoop Journal would like to congratulate Reggie on his tremendous accomplishment!

Dave Rosado: 1,000 Point Scorer!

  Senior Dave Rosado of Saddle River Day by way of Paterson Catholic scored his 1,000th point last week! Rosado has worked hard to resurrect the Saddle River Day program, just missing an invite to the Bergen County Jamboree! He is one of the top scorers and rebounders in the area! Hoop Journal would like to congratulate Dave on a tremendous accomplishment!

Pascack Hills Out Duels Manchester 70-56!

Haledon, N.J………. Senior’s Jared Shill(left) and Cole Dorfman(right) combined for 46 points as Pascack Hills took an early shot from Manchester and went on to win 70-56! The duo scored 23 points apiece and made shots every time Manchester made any kind of run! They managed to get to the foul line and combined for 18 made free throws! Manchester came out strong early and took a 19-17 1st quarter lead! Pascack Hills soon began to create turnovers and Manchester struggled down low completing plays and the result was Hills taking a 51-41 lead at the end of the 3rd quarter! Manchester’s lone bright spot was Senior guard Turay Smith who scored 21 points! Manchester outrebounded Pascack Hills 28 to 20 but Hills caused double the turnovers against the Falcons led by Shill’s 5 steals! Hills improved to 12-3 and Manchester fell to 8-6!
