BECTON HOLDS ON IN DOUBLE O.T. WIN OVER HASBROUCK HEIGHTS 77-74!

E. Rutherford,N.J….Becton held off a surging Hasbrouck Heights team in two overtimes and pull off a 77-74 win!

In an exciting contest Becton had to hold off the surge with their star player Junior Justin Roseboro fouling out! Senior Dan Hanas(pictured) was the man and took over for Justin as his layup and 2 free throws in the second overtime proved to be the difference! Becton needed all the heroics they could get because Senior Nick Regus was a tough out for Hasbrouck Heights! He sent the game into overtime with a bucket, then sent it to the second overtime on a driving layup! Hanas finished with 25 points and 6 rebounds! Senior Collins Tanui added 12 points and Roseboro, despite playing a grand total of 2 minutes after halftime still finished with a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds to go with 3 blocks! Regus led Heights with 24 points, including 6″triples” while their two Sophomores Nick Monahan and Anthony Palmer finished with 14 and 13 points respectively!
