BELLI LEADS WAYNE HILLS TO 79-67 O.T. WIN OVER HACKENSACK!

Hackensack,N.J….Junior Joey Belli(right) scored 10 of his 27 points in overtime as Wayne Hills defeated Hackensack 79-67!

In a game pitting two Conference champs the contest went back and forth as each high level squad had it’s moments! Two free throws from Hackensack Junior Toren Portee and a layup by Wayne Hills Junior Jason Modak sent the game into overtime at 57 all! Wayne Hills outscored Hackensack 22-10 in the extra session as Belli started the overtime with a “triple” and Senior Justin Hodge made a layup plus a foul to give Hills control! Belli had 6 assists to go with his points, while Modak finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds! Junior Justin Wills made 4 “triples” and scored 14 points and Hodge pulled down 8 rebounds and dished out 6 assists! Portee led Hackensack with 17 points and 5 steals, while Junior Atiba Taylor added 16 points and 6 assists! Junior B.J. Saliba chipped in 12 points with 9 rebounds! Both teams will now prepare for State Playoffs!
