BERGEN COUNTY JAMBOREE: DON BOSCO PREP AND BERGEN CATHOLIC TO GO HEAD TO HEAD AGAIN!

F.D.U. Hackensack, N.J….. Just like the Passaic County Tournament, the Bergen County Jamboree Tournament has went true to form! The majority expected Don Bosco Prep and Bergen Catholic to be there at the end and that’s just what we’ll get as DBP and BC will meet in the Jamboree championship!

Don Bosco Prep jumped out to a 19-7 lead in the 1st quarter and poured it on as they defeated Cresskill 79-30! Prep never gave Cresskill a chance as the duo of Senior’s Marcellus Earlington and Ron Harper were too much for Cresskill to handle! Earlington finished with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and Harper added 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists! Junior Victor Konopka finished with 13 points and Senior Matt Herasme chipped in 10 points! The score was 40-10 at the end of the 1st half as Cresskill was just stone cold from the field! Senior Wellington Ventura led Cresskill with 9 points!

 

 

                                                                                BERGEN CATHOLIC  70     RAMAPO  55

Junior Zach Freemantle scored 21 points, pulled down 11 rebounds and dished out 6 assists to lead Bergen Catholic passed a game Ramapo team that in the end just didn’t have enough fire power to matchup in a 70-55 win! The highlight of the game was a 75 foot shot to end the 1st half by Senior Mike Koch and give BC a 40-28 lead! Ramapo fought hard, but could never get it into single digits! Junior Matt Zona scored 13 points and grabbed 8 rebounds, Junior Doug Edert  scored 11 points and Junior Jalen Leach added 9 points and 6 assists! Ramapo was led by Junior K.C. Hunt with 20 points with 8 rebounds, senior Jason Oppler added 17 points and 7 rebounds and Junior John Whooley also added 17 points for Ramapo!

Don Bosco Prep will meet Bergen Catholic Friday 7pm at F.D.U. for the Jamboree Championship!
