BERGEN COUNTY JAMBOREE RESULTS: DON BOSCO PREP AND BERGEN CATHOLIC REACH THE FINALS!

Fairleigh Dickinson University, N.J……. The Bergen County Jamboree Semifinals took place and had Bergen Catholic and Don Bosco Prep reach the Jamboree Final!

Bergen Catholic took control early and never looked back as they defeated Ramapo 63-37! Senior Zach Freemantle led the way with 19 points and 8 rebounds, but the play of Junior Matt Zona(far right) was just as important as he did it all! The 6’7 forward scored 8 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, dished out 5 assists and blocked 3 shots ! Freshman Will Richardson(right) scored 14 points and Senior Doug Edert added 11! Bergen took a 18-9 lead at the end of the 1st quarter and extended it to 32-15 at the half! Ramapo could never find it’s footing! Senior Neal Quinn led Ramapo with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocked shots!

 

                                                   Don Bosco Prep  51      St. Joseph Regional  45

Senior Victor Konopka and Senior Kyle Maurer(right) each scored 17 points to lead Don Bosco Prep to a 51-45 win over St. Joseph! The game was close throughout! St. Joe’s took it’s last lead 32-31 with 2:59 left in 3rd on a jumper from Junior Dyree Rogers, but Prep answered back as it went on a mini run to lead 40-34 going into the 4th quarter! Owen McGlashan chipped in 8 points and 8 rebounds for Don Bosco as they are still playing without the services of Junior guard Myles Ruth! Senior Devan Sharma was solid in the backcourt for Prep! St. Joe’s was led by Rogers with 14 points and Sophomore Daniel Lans added 11!
