CLIFFSIDE PARK DEFEATS QUEEN OF PEACE 59-54!

North Arlington,N.J……Cliffside Park took an early lead and held on to pull off a 59-54 win over Queen Of Peace!

Cliffside’s veteran play gave the young upstart Queen Of Peace team problems!Senior Gabriel Valerio led Cliffside Park with 18 points and 7 rebounds! Senior Julian Guzman added 14 points and Sophomore Adam Shehab came off the bench to score 12! Cliffside had a 32-16 halftime lead, but a big 3rd quarter where QP outscored Cliffside 22-6 cut the deficit  to 43-38 at the end of the stanza! Senior Jeremy Joseph led the comeback as he scored 17 halftime points, primarily attacking the basket! Queen Of Peace finally got it to a one possession game 57-54 as Joseph who finished with 25 points and 11 rebounds converted on a basket and a foul! Queen Of Peace got a chance to tie, but a missed bucket resulted in two free throws from Guzman to ice the game! Junior Ibn Loyal scored 13 points for QP!
