COACHES VS CANCER EVENT : PASSAIC VALLEY AND KENNEDY WIN!

Kennedy HS, Paterson,NJ….. The Coaches vs Cancer Event ran by Kennedy Coach Jim Ring took place tonight for the first of three days of highschool basketball and to start the festivities Passaic Valley and Kennedy kicked it off with wins!

Junior Shawn Ulrich(right) scored 10 points and grabbed 8 rebounds and Senior Mike Cirrincione scored 12 points to lead Passaic Valley to a 54-47! Cirrincione scored 9 of his points in the 1st half! Sophomore Jihad Wright finished with 11 points, including knocking down 4 free throws late to help PV hold on! Dumont was game, but could never get over the hump despite strong efforts from Junior Justin Purrett who scored 15 points and Senior L.J. Francois who chipped in 12!

Alphonso Gee(right) scored 18 points in the 2nd half as Kennedy took  a 29-27 halftime lead, and blew the game open in the second stanza to defeat Dickinson 68-49! Gee knocked down four”triples” in the 2nd half and finished the game with 25 points! Junior Jalaini Morris scored 14 points for Kennedy and Junior Khadir Lindsey came off the bench to score 10 points! Dickinson was led by Anthony Florence with 12 points and Isaiah Epps with 11 points!
