COACHES VS CANCER RESULTS: KENNEDY, PASSAIC VALLEY AND PASSAIC WIN!

Paterson,N.J……..The Coaches vs Cancer Tournament sponsored by Kennedy Highschool and Coach Jim Ring had three games to start the weekend of competition! Kennedy, Passaic Valley and Passaic got victories!

Junior Alphonso Gee scored 23 points and Senior Jalaini Morris came off the bench to score 14 points and spark Kennedy to a 64-51 win over Philadelphia’s Parkway Center H.S.! Senior Jevon Rawls chipped in 11 points as Kennedy outscored Parkway 20-9 in the 4th quarter! sophomore Jamier Taylor pulled down 12 rebounds and blocked 2 shots playing against post men at least 3 inches taller! Parkway was led by Senior Hyzeem Banks with 15 points!

 

 

 

                                                                   PASSAIC VALLEY  80       HASBROUCK HEIGHTS  53

Junior Jihad Wright knocked down 7 “triples” and scored 22 points and Senior Shawn Ulrich scored 18 points and grabbed 10 boards to lead Passaic Valley to a convincing 80-53 win! Passaic Valley scored the first 9 points of the game as Ulrich scored 5 and Sophomore Tito Ramirez added 4 points! P.V. had a 45-21 halftime lead which just about ended the contest! Senior Keith Mlenak led Hasbrouck Heights with 19 points!

Sophomore Jamir Thomas scored 16 points, Jordan Hernandez added 12 points and Senior John Oguje chipped in 11 as Passaic rolled past Lakeland 56-38! Thomas also grabbed 10 rebounds in the contest! Jake Caralioto led Lakeland with 14 points!

 

 

 

Saturday’s Basketball schedule has been cancelled due to the weather, but things will pick back up Sunday staring at 11am with Paterson Charter going against North Bergen!
