DENNIS GREGORY MEMORIAL CLASSIC: BERGEN CATHOLIC, DON BOSCO PREP, RUTGERS PREP AND ST, MARY’S(RUTH.) WIN!

Ramapo College Mahwah, N.J……. The 1st Annual Dennis Gregory Memorial Classic named after the late Dennis Gregory, who was synonymous with being a part of the Basketball culture in the State of New Jersey had four games played in which Bergen Catholic, Don Bosco Prep, Rutgers Prep and St. Mary’s all came away with wins!

Notre Dame commit Matt Zona scored 17 points, with 10 rebounds and 3 blocked shots and sophomore Julian Brown added 19 points to lead Bergen Catholic to a 49-42 win over Hudson Catholic! Bergen held as big as a 10 point lead, but Hudson would not go away! Zona, Brown and Senior Jaheim Davis scored all Bergen Catholic’s points in the second half! Junior Malcolm Eley led Hudson Catholic with 12 points! Zona and Senior Phil Brown Jr. were voted Player’s of the game! ( Zona pictured with Chairman Fred Hill)!

 

 

                                                                          DON BOSCO PREP  51    MONTCLAIR IMMACULATE  40

Freshman Akil Watson(near right) scored 15 points and Senior Myles Ruth finished with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists to lead Don Bosco Prep to a 51-40 win over Montclair Immaculate! Junior Joseph Carroll added 11 points for Prep! Hofstra commit Zion Bethea led Immaculate with 10 points, while Amar’e Marshall added 9 points! ruth and Marshall were voted Players of the game!

 

 

 

                                                                                        RUTGERS PREP  63    RAMSEY  48

Junior Trey Patterson scored 21 points, including his 1,000th career point as Rutgers Prep defeated Ramsey 63-48! Junior Noah Harris(#2) scored all 17 of his points in the second half and Sophomore Otega Oweh(#1) added 14 points for Prep! Ramsey was led by Senior Steven Turk with 17 points and Cornell commit Sean Hansen with 16 points! Patterson and Hansen were voted Player’s of the game!

Junior Demetri Stone scored on a half court at the buzzer to give St. Mary’s a 62-60 win over Indian Hills! Junior Julian Hernandez led St. Mary’s with 23 points! Indian Hills was led by Junior Luke Schermenrhom and Senior Kenny Fazio with 16 points apiece! Stone and Fazio were voted Player’s of the game!
