DEPAUL FALLS TO OUR SAVIOR LUTHERAN 65-58!
Wayne,N.J…. DePaul was game and competitive, but in the end could not overcome the shooting of the Bronx New York’s Our Saviour Lutheran! Despite a phenomenal display of shooting from DePaul Senior Debon Bright, Our Saviour Lutheran answered every run Depaul would make! Bright went off for 37 points, including 6″triples” to lead DePaul, but Our Saviour Lutheran had four players in double figures led by C.W. Post commit Chris Toussaint with 16 points! Jahmel Bodrick scored 14 points and Victor Aisogun and Jayvaughn Daniel had 12 points apiece! DePaul trailed at the half 31-28, but made a strong comeback in the 3rd to at one point grab a 5 point lead! Our Saviour Lutheran tied the score at 40 to end the quarter, then outscored DePaul 25-18 in the 4th quarter to get the win! Besides Bright, DePaul is a young squad that at times has three freshman playing on the floor at the same time! Their inexperience shows but they do seem to have a bright future! Freshman Jamir Lattimore and Kristopher Banks are two of their young players who have high ceilings! Lattimore scored 4 points, but grabbed 6 rebounds, dished out 5 dimes and had 3 steals in the game while Banks scored 4 points with 6 rebounds and 2 blocked shots!
