DEPAUL OUTLASTS PARAMUS CATHOLIC 64-61!
Paramus,N.J…..Playing shorthanded, DePaul Catholic never quit attitude gave them a tough 64-61 win over Paramus Catholic!
Freshman Zion Bethea(near right) led the DePaul attack with 21 points and 10 rebounds, but he got plenty of help from his 6 deep teammates as Sophomore Bryan Henderson(far right) added 19 points and 10 rebounds, Sophomore Eddie Davis(middle) scored 13 points and dished out 5 assists and Sophomore Skylar Wicks added 6 points but more importantly grabbed 11 rebounds! The contest was close throughout as P.C. maintained a slight lead most of the 1st half until Henderson’s “triple” with 1:20 of the 2nd quarter gave DePaul it’s first lead of the game! Paramus Catholic Sophomore MJ Scott tied it up at the half at 28 with a coast to coast layup! P.C. lead late in the 4th quarter until Bethea’s and one bucket and a Henderson bucket gave DePaul a 59-56 lead with 1:42 left! Free throws late gave DePaul the win! Senior Jared Simmons led Paramus Catholic with 12 points, Scott finished with 11 and Senior Devin Mack added 10 points for P.C.! Senior Aaron Henry finished with 9 points and 8 rebounds for the Paladins!
