DON BOSCO DEFEATS BERGEN CATHOLIC 66-61!

Oradell,N.J…The series is even, as Don Bosco Prep avenged it’s earlier 67-62 loss to Bergen Catholic by defeating them 66-61! The rubber match could be the finals of the Bergen County Jamboree!

Junior Marcellus Earlington scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, Senior Chris Paul(far right) added 14 points and Senior Manley Dorme(right) chipped in 12 points and pulled down 6 rebounds to pace Don Bosco Prep! Trailing 37-28 to end the half,Bergen Catholic started the 3rd on a 9-0 run on 3″triples” by Sophomore Doug Edert(2) and Senior Thomas Binelli! to tie the score at 37! Don Bosco Prep proceeded to go on a 14-0 run to go ahead 51-37 to end the quarter! Bergen made one more comeback attempt behind Senior Gabe Stefanini who scored 7 straight points to cut the lead to 57-52, but Prep held on as Senior Charlie Babin made clutch free throws late! Stefanini led Bergen Catholic with 20 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists!
