DON BOSCO PREP ADVANCES TO NORTH NON-PUBLIC FINALS!

Oradell.N.J….Don Bosco Prep went on a 7-0 run to start the game and never looked back as they defeated Bergen Catholic 71-48 and advance to the North Non-Public A final!

St. John’s commit Marcellus Earlington(#1) led the way with 24 points and 9 rebounds and Rutgers commit Ron Harper(#24) added 20 points for Don Bosco Prep! While the play of Prep’s star duo was key, Don Bosco’s role players were significant in the contest! St. Peters University commit Matt Herasme(bottom)  chipped in 8 points, pulled down 10 rebounds and dished out 4 assists, while Junior Victor Konopka added 7 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and did a good job on Bergen Catholic’s go to player Zach Freemantle! Senior Jordan Cooke-Harper and Junior Owen Magdalashen also came in to contribute on both ends! Freemantle led Bergen with 20 points and 8 rebounds and Sophomore Matt zona finished with 11 points and 7 rebounds! Don bosco will now face St. Peters Prep in the final at Rutgers Wednesday March 7th!

 

 

 

Farewell: Gardenstatehoops would like to acknowledge the final game of Bergen Catholic Seniors! Gardenstatehoops wishes the best to Brian Rice, Vincent Tricarico and Michael Koch! Koch(pictured) especially, had a host of injuries that at times derailed his development, but he should still have the chance to play at the next level! Good luck to all three seniors on their next endeavors!
