St. Joseph H.S. and Kennedy H.S. both got ready for their county tournament games this weekend by going at it in a tough N.N.J.I.L. game. Joe Efese sat in foul trouble in the first half with 3 points and 3 rebounds. The second half was straight domination as he scored 21 of his 24 points, had 8 of his 11 rebounds and blocked 7 shots. He also altered alot of shots going to the basket by Kennedy. The Knight’s led 28-21 at the half as Asmar Edwards (20 pts.) and Shondell Stewart (15 pts.) led the attack. St. Joe’s cut the lead to one at the end of the 3rd quarter 41-40. That’s when the Central Connecticut recruit took over the game, especially on the defensive end. Efese finished the game with a block to seal it.
