ENGLEWOOD ROLLS PAST MANCHESTER 80-61!

Englewood H.S.,Englewood,N.J…. 7th Seeded Englewood overcame a 16 point deficit in the 1st half to beat 10th Seeded Manchester 80-61 in the first round of the Group 2 States! Manchester ran out to a fast start and took a 30-14 lead early in the 2nd quarter, but Englewood came storming back to cut the deficit to 34-32 at the half! Englewood came out running in the 2nd half at one point outscoring Manchester 40-17! Junior Leon White(right) led Englewood with 27 points, including 5″triples” Junior Justin Iton scored 12 points and grabbed 8 rebounds, Junior Nelson Goodwater scored all 11 of his points in the 1st half to keep englewood close and Junior Julius Wingate scored 9 points and grabbed 11 rebounds! Manchester was led by Senior Jamir Williams with 19 points, Sophomore Jevon Rawls who scored 15 points and dished out 6 assists and Freshman Alex Morales who scored 10 points and pulled down 16 rebounds! Englewood will face #2 Seed Pascack Hills Wednesday!
