FALLBALL RESULTS: POPE JOHN, C.B.A., KENNEDY AND ST.PETERS PREP PREVAIL!

  Kennedy HS. Paterson,NJ… The Playaz Club and Paterson Recreation sponsored Fallball League kicked off tonight with four contests!

The first games matched Christian Brothers Academy against North 13th Street and DePaul matched up with Pope John! In the CBA, North 13th game Senior Louie Pillari(right) scored 16 points to lead CBA to an easy 65-28 win. Junior Matt Zignorski(26pts,left) hit five”triples”, including the game winner in sudden death overtime(first team to lead by two) as Pope John beat DePaul 44-41, overcoming 22 points by DePaul Senior Juwuan Carter! The second two games matched Newark Tech versus St. Peters Prep and Kennedy against Bergen Catholic! Senior  Austin White and Sophomore Armaveer Singh combined for 36 points as St. Peters Prep beat Newark Tech 50-38! Junior Javon Rawls scored 15 points and Sophomore Alphonso Gee made a key basket late to help Kennedy hold off Bergen Catholic 46-41! Senior Nadi Beciri’s 15 wasn’t enough! Wednesday’s game matches Paterson Eastside vs. St. Benedict’s, St. Anthony vs. Roselle Catholic, Hudson Catholic vs. Newark Eastside and Teaneck vs Gill St. Bernards!
