With the Season just five days away comes the Gardenstatehoops.com Top 25 Bergen and Passaic County teams! Gardenstatehoops got a lot of it’s info on last season returnees, talking with Coaches and watching a large amount of 2015 FallBall competition!010

 

1)  DON BOSCO PREP— The choice of #1 was difficult but DBP was chosen because of the return of Brown commit Senior Brandon Anderson(right) and Senior Omar Mostafa which gives them a solid veteran backcourt! They will go as far as 6’6 Junior Manley Dorme and 6’5 Junior Chris Paul take them! Keep eye out for 6’4 Sophomore Ron Harper and 6’8 Junior Big Chis Lovisolo!

2.)  ST.JOSEPH— St. Joe’s is led by 6’3 All-County Senior guard Nate Garvey(right) and the dynamic 5’8 Junior point guard Chauncey Hawkins! Their Season will be dictated on the play of 6’5 Junior Isaac Hippolyte, 6’4 Junior Joe Radi and 6’6 Senior Brian Griffin! Garvey and Hawkins are good enough to give Joe’s a special season!

3.)  TEANECK— When a team loses perhaps the best player in Bergen County in Jr. Leondre Washington you would expect a big fall off! Not in the case of Teaneck! The Highwaymen are as deep as they have been in years and with the maturity of 5’8 Sophomore guard Ja’Quaye James(right) they have a chance to do big things! 6’2 Senior Geanni Bannerman and 6’4 Senior Nick Whitaker return from last season’s starting lineup and a key addition will be New York transfer 6’5 Junior Jawaun Daniels who is a multi purpose player! 6’1 Senior Adrian Baucom will help and it will be interesting to watch the progress of 6’10 Junior Chiekh Sow!

4.)  BERGEN CATHOLIC—- Bergen Catholic has the tools to repeat as Bergen Jamboree champ! 6’2 Junior Taj Benning(right) is a high level talent and will be the catalyst in the B.C. attack! 6′ Senior Dave Logan and 6′ Junior Ray Cortes are key returnees for the Cruaders! Bergen Catholic will rely heavily on Italian import 6’3 Junior Gabe Stefanini and 6’5 Junior Mason Foreman! 6’8 Junior Rhona Eseyade will be an important factor in the middle, especially defensively! Bergen expects big things in the future from 6’3 Freshman Myles Wilmouth!

5.) HACKENSACK—- The deep, talented Comets will be a factor this season and has enough to be the Jamboree Champs! 6′ Senior M.J. Richardson(right) has become one of the best players in the area as he can shoot it with the best! 6’6 Senior Edward Emedoh is a tough interior presence who can also do damage on the perimeter!6’2 Sophomore B.J. Saliba is an up and coming talent and 6′ Junior Ahmed Bailey is a talented guard! 5’10 Junior Markel Swanston, 6’2 Jaivon Southerland, Sophomore Toran Portee and Sophomore Akrum Ahemed will all be key contributors! 

 

 

6.) PATERSON EASTSIDE— Talented 5’9 Junior guard Nhaz Smith(right) will lead Eastside as they look to overcome the lost 005of All-County players Shakur Juiston and Asem Johnson! 6’2 Senior Charles Powell and 5’8 Junior Al-Jumu Johnson will try to fill the void! 6’4 Senior Terra Gatling will be looked upon to fill the interior scoring and 6’1 Sophomore Lamar Johnson has transferred from Passaic County Tech to provide additional scoring! Eastside will be looking for some of their young players to mature and step up as the Season progresses!

 

 

 

7.) RAMAPO—- Ramapo is an experienced team that is prepared for the battles! They are led by 6’2 Senior Matt Latka(right) , a022 talented player who can score inside and outside! He has help from his Senior class in Keith Woetzel, Chris Gordon, Ryan Curtiss and Joe O’Hagan and Sophomore Jason Oppler and Freshman K.C. Hunt are young talented ballers who will be looked upon to make a difference! Ramapo has a tough schedule and by the end of the Season will be battled tested and prepared!

 

 

 

8.)  MANCHESTER—- Gardenstatehoops team to watch is this squad as they have one of the best All-around players in PART951425952313049Northern New Jersey with 6’6 Senior Alex Morales(right) and made a great run in the States last year as they fell to Newark Tech in the North 1 Group 2 finals! Morales will have help from fellow 6’3 low post player Senior Akiel Murray! 6’3 Eastside transfer Terrell Griffin and 5’10 Senior Keshon Pearson will also be key cogs to Manchester’s Season! Sophomore guard Zach Legreaux will provide three point shooting for this tough squad!

9.) WAYNE VALLEY—- Wayne Valley is always a solid team and this year should not be any different! Led by Senior’s Nick Goodwin and Nick Giuliani(right) they will be looking to overcome the lost of Kyle Greve! 5’9 Senior Alex Kokas is a tough hard nosed guard who is a spectacular passer! Wayne Valley will look to Senior John Zarka to contribute!

10.)  PATERSON KENNEDY— Kennedy is our #10 team behind the return of their guard play led by 6′ Senior Alphonso Gee(right)! 5’10 Senior guard Jordan Rodriguez and 5’10 Senior Tymier McMillan are the other backcourt mates and with the addition of Sophomore transfers Jamir Lattimore from DePaul and Jaylen Colon from Paterson Charter along with Junior Yhony Ramirez the Knights have the deepest backcourt in the area! Their Achilles will be the front court and if they can get any significant contributions from the likes of Junior Joseph Shoulars, Raekwon Alexander or Brian Patterson Kennedy may just be the team that a lot of people expect them to be!
